WHO THE BEARS ARE
The bear community is a subculture of the gay community. Bears are large and heavy gay men, with masculine looks, usually hairy and bearded. Some give great importance to having a hyper masculine appearance going as far as not interacting with men with a more feminine style.
A large, bearded and hirsute homosexual man may not always be considered a bear; the same way, a man that doesn’t show one or more than those same physical features may be considered one.
Much more important than the physical attributes, is the way of life and the ability to see oneself as a masculine man, who likes the same.
